About Us

     I'm Pat Pearson, founder of Pat's Petsitting, I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. I grew up on the Westside of Fort Worth in a family that loved animals, and never turned away a homeless or unwanted pet. My love for all animals as a child, has stayed with me into adulthood. Over the years I have been the nurturing parent to horses, dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, you name it. Always the one to be the caregiver, giving medications, right down to taking the stitches out of my horse's injured shoulder. 

    After a 15 year career with the Fort Worth Police Department, I was injured on the job and forced into early retirement to recover. It was at this point that I found that I could care for peoples "kids" (as I call my own pets), and provide a service that was desperately needed, to be there to care for others pets when they could not. I also realized that while I was helping keep peoples pets safe, healthy and happy, the animals were helping me to recover faster than was expected. To provide loving care to pets is my way of saying "thank you" to those pets that helped me when I needed it most.
